Sara Ward: Therapy
With a background in psychology, counselling and mental health I have worked as a therapist for over 20 years. My approach is integrative and holistic; I am able to draw from years of experience and training to find the best approach to help you, whatever you are dealing with. I have undertaken extensive post-qualifying training in a number of therapies. I am committed to my own self-development, regularly updating my knowledge and attending professional development courses.

I have worked in the NHS, Local Authority and private & voluntary sectors in a variety of mental health settings since the mid-nineties during which time I have helped hundreds of people to move on with their lives to a happier, more fulfilling place. I currently work at The University of York providing therapy to students. Where it is appropriate I also work creatively using techniques from art therapy, emotion-based work and visualization. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
